 Softer minimum ratio 0.5! - Posted: 31-Dec-08 By: Timon Bolier RaceSimTracker.com announced back in November that it would use a ratio system to improve the overall seeding on torrents and to avoid hit and runs.
The new ratio minimum ratio announced was 0.8, today RaceSimTracker.com will soften this minimum ratio from 0.8 to 0.5;
Users with less than a ratio of 0.5 and which downloaded more than 1GB receive a warning from the system to get their ratio above 0.5 in 30 days, if not the account will be blocked by the system.
RaceSimTracker.com has just removed all current warnings and unblocked all accounts so everybody can make a fresh start. It is possible that you may receive a new warning from the system soon if your account is below 0.5;

RaceSimTracker.com Policy

RaceSimTracker.com does NOT allow posting of cracked or hacked software and stolen or unpermitted converted content from any intellectual property created by commercial and non-commercial artists/editors/developers.
Intellectual property created by non-commercial artists/editors/developers may be altered and redistributed only by the original author or by persons who have explicit permission from the original author (either individual permission or blanket permission spelled out in a readme). Files, images, and videos contained on/originating from a commercial site may not be distributed or uploaded unless express permission in the terms of use for that site are given.
Please make sure that credits to the intellectual property owners (artists/editors/developers) are always posted in either the .nfo file, torrent name or description.
When redistributing altered work all original credits must remain in place. For instance, you may provide an addendum to the credits in an existing readme file but you may not change or delete the original credits.
Altering and redistributing works without permission and misrepresenting credit for intellectual property is not permitted.
Providing software or information intended to defeat copy protection schemes in software is not permitted.
RaceSimTracker.com will maintain a public ban-list below to prevent unknowing people from re-posting banned content. Warnings and eventually temporary bans will be handed out if the users ignore the RaceSimTracker.com policy. Administrators and Moderators will verify posted contents and up-loaders if they are in line with the RaceSimTracker.com policy.
RaceSimTracker.com will honor requests by intellectual property owners (artists/editors/developers) commercial and non-commercial to remove posted content from RaceSimTracker.com and add them to the ban-list below. RaceSimTracker.com will review and discuss requests from the public to remove or ban contents that are not in line with the RaceSimTracker.com policy. Everyone can request a removal, complaint or ban by sending a PM here or by e-mailing directly to info at racesimtracker dot com.
Exceptions to the RaceSimTracker.com policy must be requested to all intellectual property owners (artists/editors/developers) and RaceSimTracker.com administrators before posting. When exceptions are allowed, they must be clearly stated and described in the torrent description so they are publicly accessible for everyone.
